Laser measure devices

Are there lasers measuring 1/10th of foot?
I rely on my tape measure which measures 1/10th and may use my less accurate laser when I have to.

The overwhelming responses will endorse various models of Disto. Its made by Leica, a company known for high quality cameras and lenses for decades.

I've used a $89 Stanley Fat Max for over 15 years and its done what I need, but then, my needs are simple. Bosch also makes some good, basic lasers.

They measure much better than that, only issue could be human error which can be with any measuring device.

I have used Disto and Bosch. The red dot is easier to see with the Disto, and the camera feature is great. My only Disto complaint is the screen itself is not very well lit, so direct sunlight still presents a slight problem sometime. The red glasses do help.

To me, the Disto is worth the extra money. I mean I use it 3-6 times a week. 2 minutes saved over the Bosch per house quickly pays for the extra $$. It has also been dropped and used in a moderate rain, and still chugging along.

They have a little sight window on my old one but the Bosch I have had a camera and you calibrate it and then center the red x on the spot you are measuring to...and it has a red dot too. I prefer the Bosch hands down. And yes they measure to 1/16" inch... I believe but tests show they are occasionally off by a mite- not a lot though.

The only one I would recommend is the Leica D810 touch or the model that is more expensive.

The problem is most red or green dots are very difficult to see outside. In some cases, it won't be possible to see at all.

It has a 1-4x "viewfinder." You look at crosshairs on the screen to aim the laser to your target. Zooms up to 4x.

Also it can calculate distance off of angles. If you don't have a gutter or something for a laser target --you can shoot to the eave and will do the geometry to find the distance as if you were shooting the laser straight

If you call appraiserslaser.com they will usually sell less than list.

Expensive but well worth it.

You might want to try an anti-glare screen protector. I have one on my and it seems to help. However, I have never used without so I can't say with 100% certainty that is makes a big difference.

1/10 of 1 foot = 1.2 inches.
