Not gonna be much better here.
And tomorrow the markets will think Powell will reverse himself next month. Strikes me the Market does not want to believe they cannot force Powell to pivot and avoid a recession. If he does, inflation continues unabated for the most part. OTOH, a recession is a signal that oil prices will remain low due to low demand.

raw, boiled or fried? I actually hate chickens. So I eat 2 eggs every morning. Two less chickens.
Raw, how can you eat raw?
I don't know how to cook so whatever in fridge, I threw everything into the pot - cracked eggs in, several 2 night old chicken meat in, frozen green beans and spinach salad, and ramen. It was filling.
or egg nog...

Within a few months we could significantly increase egg production domestically simply with backyard coops, of course we may have chicken wire shortages temporarily. I’m still amazed at how many Buffys and Heathers in suburbia now raise eggs with their own chickens. It’s a good learning experience because when they lose a few chickens to hawks, owls, foxes and coyotes they learn how the real world works. I still eat eggs, but I no longer eat chicken. I may be the only pescatarian who loves cockfights and actively participates in them. It’s not difficult to let roosters fight and not seriously harm each other. Reminds me of my ole buddy Cecil who I worked with 2 summers during summer break digging and installing storm line. He taught me how to rig dynamite. He went to a huge cockfight that had hundreds of roosters and hundreds of people. He had just laid $600 down on an unbeaten Malay and about 2 minutes into the fight a couple dozen deputies raided the place, crated all the roosters and locked up their owners in the local jailhouse. Cecil didn’t get arrested, but he never got his $600 back, it was a lot of money back then.

The difference between the chicken available in the typical grocery store today and those we used to raise on the farm as kids cannot be overstated. I am not much of a fan of storebought, but sure would pony up some cash for a few free-range fryers! The grasshopper diet may have been a factor.

I had the more expensive chicken for lunch. Chickens vary in price and you can taste it.
Terry, buy the good chicken. They're tasty.

I'm about to get a chicken coop myself. :)

You’ll be glad you did, plus you’ll have eggs without all the chemical additives, not to mention the enjoyment of watching the chickens.

The cost of feed is up.
The cost of labor is up.
The cost of transportation is up.
The cost of equipment is up.
Avan flu has caused a loss of birds (supply and demand).

Certain there are more points to make but, why should eggs not go up, too?
