GXX001 Not Invoked After Work Completed

It is still functional obsolescence. Like a bedroom without a window or security bars without quick release on windows or window base height is functional obsolescence. They are all safety issues. I want them cured.

I would almost bet this subject has more than one exit.
Simple, you don't call that room a bedroom. Many basements are just below grade without a window to its name. They meet code: End of story.
They're a lot safer than your car that you drive in for inspections.

Well, that is a different story. They can get out the front door and jump or go stairs or elevator. They have a balcony. Don't try to play me boy. LOL
I lived on the forty third story in chicago. No balcony. One door out... to a blazing fire in the other side. Not the greatest options.

Bottom line: Basements with one door out and no windows are not considered a fire hazard.

So it was interior elevator and stairs only like a hotel. Both would have been exterior to your living space (unit).

Yeah... one door out of a living area that leads to many doors. Wait... are we talking about a high-rise condo or a basement? :ROFLMAO:

Here is my issue there on living space. If you only have one exit and that exit is a walk up stairs interior only, then you have a very serious functional issue. It is a safety issue. It can be cured but it will be in thousands to get another exit to outside because they will have to dig down to foundation level and tear a door out and build steps up.

That could easily run $20,000 to $50,000.
If code requires it. Otherwise, not so much.

Your the one who started this fight with me. I was trying to focus on the subject. I am about as clueless on the subject as you are.

I don't work cheap. I can't put you on payroll. LOL

Real good comparable. LOL

I like playing with boys. LOL

I really prefer girls. I don't know what it is. Kinda difference between condo and single family to me.

I'm having a hard time to find why there's a disagreement. If it passes code, what is the issue? It's never about appraiser's feelings. They may feel that a house is not safe without a sprinkler system... and they would be correct, as that would save 1000s of homes and lives. But can you imagine if they conditioned all their reports to having a sprinkler system installed when the HO is not obligated to do that?

And you're probably right about your payroll. I don't get out of bed for less than twenty thousand dollars.
*Now where did I put my bed sore cream?

Earth homes often have only one exit. They can be legal to build, sell and to live in. You cannot condition them to add an exit without without any requirements for such a condition.
