Did y'all ever notice that the sequence of spill-over narrative addendums don't spill-over in a logical sequence in the text-only addendum section, if left to the default phe protocol. For example, verbiae that carries-over from the 1004 Cost Approach dialogue box follows the Final Reconciliation spill-over, etc., etc. It's gotta drive reviewers crazy, although the sequence can be manually manipulated in the user's template.

It also sucks that the aerial map that corresponds with the neighborhood map, being created only after the map, gets placed at the end of the report, requiring an additional step to arrange it logically in near the middle of the report. And wouldn't ya think that with thousands of appraisers creating similar reports daily, an informal industry-wide template based upon a standardized sequence of forms would have been created, unless it exists already but nobody told me. I realize that most appraisers are mavericks who don't like to follow the herd, but standardization can be a good thing.

I don't use ACI. But it sounds like I'm glad I don't.

At this point, with all the additional work required, ANIS-BS and so forth who cares what order you put things in. It won't matter in the long run aren't they coming out, with the Cloud Form anyway.

Have you ever tried putting the form in reverse to see if anyone questions it? With all the techno they're doing shouldn't the receiving computer be able to arrange it in the order they like. Should that be part of the so-called Modernization hoopla?

You can arrange/rearrange page location....

I have templates with my pages in a pre determined order. Sometime have to add a page or two depending on the client or property. I don't like the spill over feature. If my commentary isn't going to fit in an area. See comment addendum page "X" goes into the field and I just enter my commentary directly to my comment addendum

The text addendum is the most important pages in the report. Best to structure the addendum and put everything in the addendum. Organized and readable. Only data in the form.

I'm not looking forward to the new forms.

We don't know what it is for sure yet but from what I have heard about it, it sounds like it is going to be a process walking you through the report step by step. It is going to prompt us for checkboxes and responses as you go. It will be a very big change to the workflow at the desk. Possibly an ideal process for new PAREA appraisers. The new forms could be the end for me in this biz.

ZZGAMAZZ, have often wondered why ELCTRONIC orders don't e-populate anything---and the new fannie form is 21 pages of more "hunt & peck"

I have revised the format as well as the content like 100 tmes. What bugs me is that if left to its own machinations, addedums such as the Cost Approach Opinion of Site Value follows the Final Reconciliation of Value of the entire appraisal.

Maybe just b/c I have used ACI for so long, but on the infrequent occasions when I am asked to review an appraisal from a different provider, I am as confused as all getout.

In your opinion, what is the impact on our profession? More or less time? More or less accuracy?
