AQB Seeking To Lower Appraiser Qualifications

There is no entry for young people it's now a war of time attrition. As each retires or dies he won't be replaced and at some point the system will end .

When you can't get a job it's hard to get experience hours. Only a govt agency could create somthing so crazy. I honesty can't think of any other so called profession designed like this.

The main reason for the college degree requirement was that a lot of people without degrees are really bad at report writing. Of course, many people with college degrees are bad too.

Why all the angst....
Americans no longer value higher education....

I Guess Parea has been a total disaster so lets lower the license Req. and We already heard straight from the horses mouth that there gonna need less Appraisers in the future and they Can't figure out why no one wants to waste there time, money, and energy to get into a DYING profession. Until they figure out how make becoming an Appraiser Lucrative again It really doesn't matter what they do.

Interesting that whenever I read clients tell appraisers they want higher analysis....
The appraisers whine....

Current appraisers seem to want higher standards for potential new appraisers....
But want lower standards for for them....

Lower standards already exist. See waivers, hybrids/PDCs and AVMs for details. I would LOVE to watch a PAREA skippy go up against a trial attorney in court over a valuation complaint. I'd pay to see it.

It is all leading to one or a few companies having total control. Look at the credit reporting agencies. 3 companies have 100% control. One little tweak in their algorithms can make millions of people suddenly eligible or not to buy a home. That is actually more important than being off 5% on a market value.

Let's not lose the forest for the trees here folks.
