Was just told to remove "places of worship"

Religious groups use different property types to convene. I've seen them use former furniture stores, regular storefronts, former public schools, warehouses, bank buildings, etc.

"Non-residential property". Let's see Karen-Margaret call that racist.

Include a shot of the zoning map for the general subject area, with legend of the uses, and identify the subject property.

It’s no different than including a shot of the general FEMA map page that includes the subject property.

I can not understand when appraisers keep purring houses of worship or churches into a neighborhood description, when they know there can be pushback.

People assume that most areas have some houses of worship present. MV assumes an informed buyer. If a buyer wants to be close to a particular religious offering, they can look it up. Nearly everyone has the internet now and can easily research an area.

And what's that?
That the Woke are insufferable and irrational and will never ever stop.
Stop blaming your own lack of understanding about mentioning houses of worship on "woke". This was a lender's peeve way before woke. Lenders had fair housing laws, and borrowers were sensitive to the answer before "woke". I've been appraising for over 25 years and did not mention houses of worship in the description of land use.
There was one case where a religious sect that was not allowed to use vehicles could walk to a house of worship, which was the one and only time I mentioned it .

Accept censorship.

Prohibit christians from talking about christianity.

In turn silently promote worship of the devil.

Sounds about right.

I agree why even put it in at all !
but sometimes I think appraisers hope to get a "stip" just so they can start a new thread to debate and argue about it.

It's not censorship.
Professionals have their own laws and standards, and some verbiage or references are prohibited or are penalized across various professions.
On their own time appraisers can talk about and write about and post about religious houses of worship and whatever else they want to -

What if the church, house of worship, place of gathering, special use facility, cult animal sacrifice dwelling... whatever... is cater-corner to the subject property and affects value?

This is why waivers are being used. Appraisers are to hard to deal with and like to push the irritation button. Lol
