I try not to practice law without a license and I'm afraid that that question exceeds my knowledge base. I know the county I live in makes hot check writers eventually pay up, did it for me one time. I also know that you have to be careful that you are legally entitled to proceed with collection actions against someone, but that's a question for a lawyer. Or run it through an AI and see what it says.May I ask you a question: I need to sue a towing company that badly damaged the frame of my car costing $3,200 in repairs. Is it true that if I win the case in Small Claims Court, the jurisdiction doesn't help to ensure that the defendent pays me? If so, do licensed collection agencies work on cases like that ????????????
