I believe the OP's complaint is absolutely a valid hill to die on, and I respect that he's willing to stand his ground. But the reality is, this is shaping up like Custer’s last stand....he might be right on principle, yet he's still going to lose this battle.

if appraisers as a group are not going to rally together and take a stand against how GSE lender's/AMC's operate, taking over half their fee, revisions, ROV's, etc after 15 plus years....this is going nowhere.....

Clear capital and solidify can change their behavior at any time and make all the disparaging comments stop.

Just like when current AMC’s were invented 15 years ago, it didn’t start out that bad. They are the ones that changed their behaviors. They can go back to how they used to operate and start following laws rules and regulations. until then, disparaging comments will continue from boots on the ground real world appraisers. From guys who aren’t invited to the breakfast club.

Does anyone else find it interesting that AMC‘s, especially the large ones, seem to support each other and stick up for one another. That’s pretty refreshing, have to give them credit for that.

If they acted like appraisers - solidify would’ve sent the letter saying you’re right, clear capital Sucks, keep spreading the word

Of course it wasn't literal. The poster had insinuated that OP didn't say anything false. Accusing an AMC of engaging in slavery is patently false - that is, unless they're actually engaging in slavery - which there is no evidence to support such an accusation.

Meh. I completely get the animosity exhibited toward some AMC's out there. They're trash. I just think invoking accusations of slavery on sites like LinkedIn is just inviting retaliation. That's just me tho.
