3.6 and ACI

What will be the consequences of an unfettered computer that can repair itself, create itself over and over? Will it be HAL and try to kill anyone trying to set limits to it? When will it simply replace humanity entirely. Why is that impossible? Well, it isn't impossible. In fact, it is almost a given.
Who knows. Who could have predicted how quickly AI would become so integrated into our fabric? I suppose one outcome could be the doomsday prediction you outlined. Another feasible outcome is that it drains our energy sources. I mean, at some point the 2nd law of thermodynamics has to kick in, doesn't it?

no match for the redundancy that technology can amass.
When CDS (credit default swaps) were cross-supporting MBS (Mortgage-backed securities), what happened when one went down? Both did. And 2008 happened. I've seen a bank failure collapse not one, but 2 banks. One bank parked the "Old Man's" money in the other. So, technically the smaller bank's assets allowing it to lend large sums was wiped out to the sum of 70 million when the OCC took over the larger bank and triggered an early collapse of both. The state's most well-capitalized small bank suddenly with under-capitalized in one fell swoop and as a result was forced by the FDIC to call in numerous loans that were underwater.

Call it hyperbole but it is also reality. Do you think Bear Sterns and Leaman Bro. saw it coming and did nothing?

Michael Burry saw it coming and made around $100 million. Of course he was never forgiven by the seedy Wall Street insiders. He's still considered a pariah by them. To profit by shorting Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers was unforgiveable.

Are y'all building a new 3.6 solution for general consumption or some sort of internal thing?
General consumption — Greg's been driving that from the start. He's been doing this for 28 years and the whole idea
was to build it the way an appraiser actually works, not the way a forms company thinks appraisers work.

What does Appraisal Inbox handle — order management side?

Yep, order/workflow/calendar/office management. We export to UAD 3.6 now (MISMO .xml). So far SFREP is the only one that I know of that can import that format.
