No I don't need a survey, I'm taking one.

As the result of reading a different thread, I started to wonder...

Within the legal description of a CONDOMINIUM in your state, what is the individually owned property called?

Example..

In Michigan, what you solely own within a condominium is called a UNIT.

Is there anywhere out there that this owned portion of a condominium complex is legally called a LOT, or PARCEL or anything else??

Not in my state. "LOT" or "PARCEL" would refer to the land. For a true condo, UNIT would be more appropriate. The tax ID could be a description even though that description refers to "parcel number." In my market area, The powers that be do not use the old "Assessor's Parcel Number anymore...maybe for that reason. Instead, it is called Tax ID.
