I emailed the board as the website does not show my CE hours which I took a month ago. I was curious as normally these pop up within a few days. Also have no notice that we are having a 'Day with the Board" meeting. And curious - we have no newsletters since 2019. I'd think that would be kinda important now. And looks like we don't have a new investigator yet? Or has the website just gotten out of date?

There will likely be no "Day with the Appraiser" or "Day with the Board" whichever moniker you want to call it before June 30. I was kinda counting on that and one zoom USPAP class to finish my hours. Sucks putty balls. Covid shut down our local chapter in NW Ark...and we are debating a board meeting to see if we throw in the towel or revive the chapter. Our website is gone. Need younger appraisers to step up to the plate. Us geezers are tired and soon retired.

Board says they are working on putting out a new newsletter - none since 2019.

One last thing, Covid did do one thing. A lot of deeds, mortgages, etc. are now on line in some counties that were not previously on line. That is a good thing. It has and does save me a lot of trips to the courthouse. With the MLS often reporting faulty information, and Realist often not updated or Realist blank because a tax parcel number missing, and nothing there, going to the CH deeds and mortgages tells me both the transaction and most counties now record the exact price of the transaction, not just the deed stamps divided by 3.30 and x 1000. And the mortgage tells me the terms and rate and at the bottom if FNMA FREDDY or FHA, the mortgage will say one of the other. If not, it is not a secondary market conforming loan. Also good to see if a second mortgage exists - they are not as common as they used to be but do exist.
