Sometimes an AMC asks for a report to be emailed to them. Just a reminder it is the appraiser who commits the violation of GLB and not the AMC for asking.
Just say no. Their portal to upload it should be working.
Any AMC's asking for emailed reports in return for no upload fee if early should be referred to your State for a cease and desist.

Lots of sensitive documents are emailed. I think you are over thinking this. Perhaps put a disclaimer in the email signature about how the document is intended for the addressee only>

I have one small AMC client that doesn't have a portal system and still requires that PDFs be sent by email. Before portals become the norm, most required them to be emailed, I never had any concern. Before that people mailed them or hand delivered to clients and reports had old fashioned genuine signatures. There are a bunch of geezers in here who are familiar with that method. Hopefully they won't read this post and be offended. They're easily offended.

No easily offended, Still remember gluing photos onto pages and using location arrows. And those godawful deliveries. We are not geezers, we are the OG.

My first couple of years was during the glue and 35 mm days. I dreaded some of those deliveries, especially when I wrecked the deal of some mortgage broker and being the low guy on the totem pole, I was tasked with giving them the bad news. IMO email is far more secure than hand delivery or US mail, I remember a couple of times when competing loan officers opened the package to peek and see how their competitor/coworker’s deal came out. The geezers I’m referring to are the ones you’re pleasantly debating over on the political threads. :)

When I started we were still typing them - like on a typewriter - after we wrote them out and did all the calculations manually. Of course, gluing the pix did not takes as long, as we only had three photos and they were all of the subject. And the location map only showed the subject's location

We at least had some software, but also had the realtor listing books, not a fancy website with photos.
