Read in another thread that HUD was expediting apps mailed prior to Apr 23, and that the on line apps were being approved in 24 hrs.

HUD received my mailed app on Apr 22nd (cut off day). On May 5, the system was so busy, I couldn't get into their server. Finely did Tuesday morning and got a confirmation message that I would be contacted via e-mail.

Has anyone been placed in less then 8 weeks after mailing their app, (with-in the past few weeks) or been placed after applying on line??

I just got my confirmation email tonight that i was approved and will show up on the roster in 24 hours. i sent in the application via the online system monday night.

New Roster boy here having applied via snail mail in early Feb. It took approx 10 weeks. There are many others striving to accomplish the elusive "FHA" acceptance. Don't worry about it so much. Time is money. It takes time, sometimes, to make money.

Yes!. Mine showed up Friday evening too.:clapping:
Let's get to work!!

So...I sent mine in at the end of March. It has been six weeks and no word, I expected the normal 8-10 weeks. If I submit mine online it could be approved in 24 Hours? So should I do the online as well? This process is a joke.

FHA Roster

I submitted my application by mail in late March and have not heard anything from FHA to date. Is there a way I can confirm whether FHA received my application? You mentioned connecting thru FHA's server.

If your envelope did not come back to you as "Undeliverable"......then assume they got it. You are not going to ever receive, or "hear", a direct reply. One goes to the FHA/HUD website and finds the info-links to Appraisers, and the link to check the roster. One simply inputs their city and state......and, if your name appears there among all the others in your market, then you are officially recognized.

Inform all of your clients.....and wait for your fax machine to start melting. Prepare to sell your required and thorough property inspection process, market data and trend analysis, and a solid line-up of most-recent, most-similar and most-proximate selected comps for the report.

Maybe......you can secure a reasonable fee and not have hordes of competitors under-cutting you while they create the new echelon of "standard" market fees for FHA reports ! Not all clients are alike, however. Good luck.
