Does anybody by chance know how to upload a 1004D to AppraisalPort?

Been trying to hold off on getting new software until I got a new PC system. I guess that will be sooner than later.

UPDATE!

Came back to answer my own question. Had to use Form 1004D as the only major form. Previously I had added the form to the original appraisal, but I guess the converter did not like that. Once I started from scratch with just the 1004D and a couple other AI Ready photo/comments addenda it uploaded fine to AppraisalPort.

Eventually I will still switch software, but for now I just saved myself 700 bucks and will continue with NCV until the wheels fall off.

You are saving $399 by not using CF. It has a functional MC form too. :)

Which plan is that? The cheapest I see is $599. All others that fit my needs are similar. I suppose I could sign up for ALM and only use NCV for whenever my one client on AppraisalPort sends an order. Is it CF or ALM that looks just like NCV?

Call the sales department. Tell them you need the 'basic' package (I think it's the apprentice package). No flood, no bells and whistles, no sparkly fluff.

You get maps, UAD, census and a couple of AMC specific formats (I don't use those) and 25 free flood maps (I don't use those, FEMA firmettes work fine).

Hang in there...

Do you know something we don't? Or is this just a general statement to the poster to not loose his mind in this business.

Since I don't expect to see anything new from JD I'll assume its just encouragement to the poster.

JTip is right call CF sales. Drag your feet a little and you might even get some flood maps out of them. I liked NCV, but CF is better.

Since NCV maps no longer work, here's a spot that will map multiple locations, *and* give you the straight line distances.

You do need to enter the addresses in following specific format (I use excel) and drop them into input box:
  • Street Address // City // State // Zip

Money not spent is money made. Why not stretch it out as long as possible? I no longer have any form software. I don't miss it. It does not take me much more time to use my own templates and create a narrative report than it did a form report. And as a consequence, I've saved the cost between $50 Word Perfect every few years and $900 for form software and annual subscriptions.

Since Flood Maps, census, etc. are available on line, I don't see that as being much more time consuming. I don't put a flood map in a report unless it is actually in the flood zone anyway. And with all the forms banks wanted, I found occasionally that my form report was actually longer than my narratives for similar properties.
