Pls Advise Anybody If There Is A Way To Convert A Wp File To Msword...

Go to microsoft.com and do a search based on what version of word you have.

Click on the wordperfect file when you are in Microsoft Word and tell it to open ... Word will do the conversion.
There will be some errors .. specifically in layout and formatting. They are different creatures.

I Tried To Do This. I Opened Word. I Downloaded The Wp File Sent To Me. I Agreed To Several Licensing Conditions. (me, I Will Agree To Anything.) Then Ms Works Opened And I Got No Idea What That Is, Hopefully A Medium To Convert Between The Two File Types. However, If What You Said Is True (inevitably So...) I'm Trying To Copy A Wp Template That Accomodates Inserted Dig Photos So The Conversion Might Be More Difficult Than Not... Same Ole Same Ole...

Works is not Word. I'm not sure it Works will do the conversion. Maybe someone who has Word can convert it and then re-save it down to Works for you.

Works and Word are not compatible. The only successful translation I ever did between the two was to go through AppleWorks which will open and save in both of those formats as well as WP. What you are trying to do is more trouble than it's worth, IMHO.

Why close the thread? There is other information that may help someone else.

I.E.
The "typical" software installation does not always put every translator/feature on the computer. When installing, a "custom" installation is needed to get a lot of the additional features.

Word will open and convert a Works file (I just had to do this for my mom last week). microsoft.com offers a little download file that is the "converter".

I agree with you that WP to any MS app is not worth the trouble. I know a super fast typist - it is cheaper in both time and hassle to just pay her to re-type it.

WENDY: I'm still trying to figure out the best way to insert digital photos into Word, and one of the AF members was kind enough to e-mail me his WP template. I tried 3 or 4 of the suggestions from another thread concerning Word but I've had only marginal luck using the table function (although I am familiar with the Table function) and I'm still looking for an optimal solution. Did Works open as a medium between WP & Word?
