I usually do my inspection, drawing and info including floorcoverings, roof, windows, etc. on a legal pad. Since we have an assistant, I want them to fill out more of the form like the improvement section. In the past I copied that area and made a checklist, curious if anyone has something like this?

Create your own in a word processor or Excel...
or just print off Page 1. One of my subs did that all the time. I don't use software anymore but...
Or, depending on your software, use a tablet and transfer the info directly to your software
http://www.bradfordsoftware.com/mobile/
I understand SFREP shares this app with Clickforms

And Total has a mobile app...

Used to use one I made using excel that had a 10 x 10 graph grid for the sketch with a list of physical characteristics at the top. I would also note items in each room on the sketch. Such as floor coverings, etc. Do not use it anymore since I have been using my tablet. Which has a full copy of my software. I fill it all in as I walk through the house and can also make notes on the sketch.

I use the Total Mobile app, once you set a label on your sketch, click the "info tab" in the upper right corner and from there you can take photos of the room, and fill out all the particulars such as flooring, walls, improvements, condition, etc..... This also puts a detailed document in your workfile, places the photos on your photo pages and also fills the appropriate fields on the appraisal form.

I use a checklist that I have printed on a file folder. All notes and floorplan go directly on it When I'm done I photograph the file to maintain a record. Back in the day I used a different color every year to easily throw out the older ones.

I wish they would make this work for the AI form. For those you have to just do straight text in the notepad.

My checklist is in my head.
That is a great idea IMO, unless I get busy and the report is delayed, and I can't remember one house from another. Like yesterday's report of a 2-bedroom SFR, with photos of 3 bedrooms (which wouldn't be so bad if I didn't already devote mucho time to defining the difference in market reaction to 3- versus 2-bedroom counts. ) My memory can't compete with supply-demand factors (or passwords or phone numbers, etc.)
