Appraisers Testify in Support of Nebraska AMC Bill Oppose BPO Legislation
The Appraisal Institute testified on behalf of a Nebraska bill that would regulate appraisal management companies operating in the state and spoke against another bill that would expand the use of broker price opinion. Their comments came during a Feb. 9 state legislative committee hearing in Lincoln. The Nebraska Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the ASFMRA and the Nebraska Real Property Appraisers Board all testified against L.B. 818. The Nebraska Bankers Association and the Nebraska Realtors Association testified in support of it.
