Attempting To Recover Files From External Hardrive

Confused by the question as well.

I would discourage you from reinstalling total from an external hard drive. Do a clean install and then you should be able to move the individual zap files back from the hard drive.

youc an save your zaps to the external drive and install total locally on the computer. i do that with both of my work computers (a desktop and a laptop). i use google drive to sync the files between them, so if a drive phsyically crashes, it's backed up.

Over the years I have found it best to keep the operating system on a separate drive from the data (Zap'a & PDF's or even extra work file data). The data is then easier to backup to another drive or backup system.
