autosave deleting comments

I write my comments for each comparable after adding it to the grid and then go on to add my next comp, write comments for it and so on. Many times, when the program autosaves, it deletes what I have written - it doesn't delete the comp data that I have added, just the comments. The "work around" that I have been using it to copy the comments into clipboard, paste them when I am ready to add comments about the next comparable and then copy them to my clipboard again while adding the next comp. I have emailed ACI and listened to the music while on hold long enough that I will probably start humming it. Does anyone else experience this? If so, any suggestions for a fix?

How do you add the comps and comments to the grid? Manually or through some program? Where do you add the comments - to the 1004 addendum? Never had a similar problem with ACI. Only when it crashes and I lose the stuff I typed since the last autosave.

I manually enter the comps. In the space below the grid, i type my comments. When I am done with all of my comments and comps, I cut them from there and put them in the addendum.

You can also try typing your comments in MS Word then copying and pasting them into ACI.

I type my comments in the Addendum AFTER completing everything else in the report. Its the very last step of my process. The Excel spreadsheet I use makes that easy to do.

i click on that little save icon over and over again. haven't seen this specific problem but i'd rather click save after every comp and every sentence than spend a lot of time figuring out what got lost

but if you do so, I advise adding them to an image page rather than the spillover narrative, especially if tables/charts/graphs are included in the narrative. I personally, literally copy/paste each MLS marketing comment into an Excel worksheet, sort by Comp number, format with borders, etc., and then copy/paste it all into an ACI image page. Why take the time to interpret the MLS comments (which I did for years although my comments were never "standardized) rather than to simply to copy/paste the actual comments for underwriting.
