Hello,

I am trying to get a better understanding for the Triad area of NC on what the average fees are for 1004, 1004d, 1004c, 2055, 1025, REO's, etc. If anyone can answer this question it would be appreciated or can give insight on how to better determine a fee for this area. Thanks in advance.

1 Ask your supervisor

2 Do you mean what an AMC/Bank charges the borrower, or what the appraiser actually gets?

3 Do you mean the fee a private individual might pay an appraiser for an appraisal?

Your question may have numerous answers. I hope you have a supervisor or you won't be doing any appraisal work.

My question is directed towards when you would work with AMC/Bank's and Individuals. My supervisor instructed me to research and ask around to see if we are Charging in the same area as everyone else in our area. That way if we are over or under charging we would know.

I am in the Triad. I have no idea what the average appraiser fee is. I know what fees I charge. There have been surveys about fees and I'm sure you can find one online. As a trainee, the firm/supervisor you are working for will set the fees.

I will say two things. 1- Think about how much per hour you are willing to work for. Think about the time it takes you to complete an assignment. Set your fees accordingly. 2- The least you should take is the most they are willing to pay.
