Bank ownership stakes in AMCs

I was at a public appraisers meeting recently and a few Mortgage Brokers had been invited to attend.

There are alternative to AMC's we all know - and we presented these alternatives to the MB's and asked if they would use them. The replied that "we have researched some of this and we asked our lenders, (WF,BoA,Flagstar, etc) if this would be acceptable. We were told by all "you must use OUR AMC's or we will NOT BUY THE LOAN FROM YOU!!!!"""

I had the same issue with another AMC, they wanted all my client info so they could go after them. I refused.
