Bloomberg.com Fri, 07 Sep 2007 1:48 PM PDT
Sept. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Representative Barney Frank, the Massachusetts Democrat who heads a congressional committee that oversees the Federal Reserve, called on policy makers to cut interest rates after employers reduced payrolls in August.

This is nothing but electioneering. Cutting rates and Bush's bailout ideas will only prolong the inevitable. You can take the medicine now and get it over with or sip the bitter bile a little at the time prolonging your agony.

If there is a silver lining behind this cloud it is that the idiots that suffer from these inept policies are the very same idiots that elected the people who enact and enforce the policies. :peace: Let'um eat punch cards. After all, they are too stupid to use them for voting.

Seen for what it is...... as long as corrective action is actually taken - he can electioneer all he wants. time will tell. his record of taking on "the powers that be" is pretty solid.

He can use his business savvy from when he was running a male prostitute ring out of his apartment.Same principle..

What do you expect from politicians to say? They all want to show that they are compasinate and concerned but it is easier to say than to do it. Politicians are not the only ones who are pushing for rates cut, the wall street is losing money and is pushing too. I am glad that I am not the Fed Chairman although it is the most powerful job in the world but Bernanke has to walk on a really fine line right now. He has the power to it but it is not going to solve the problem. It is going to create another Bubble and prolong the mortgage and the housing mess. Is that all we want?

Barney places his fingers where? On the pulse???

Moh,

Barney is pretty smart but I agree that everyone who is pushing for a rate cut is simply whistling in the dark. It's scary that the only thing anyone can think of to do is also the thing everyone says won't work. Dang.

I have been told on more than one occaision that I ought to stop posting various things. I always chuckled at the other person's nerve. I can eve forward private messages I have stored telling me to shut up. I could never imagine telling someone else not to post something here - until now. I just don't even want to think about where Barney Frank may have had his finger. :Eyecrazy:

In the future, please choose your metaphors a tad more carefully. :)
