Interesting read Cindy. Mexico began just S of Avondale? W Phoenix makes a lot more sense now ...Funny they used Gila River as a boundary...Nothing like a "river" with no water in it. For out of staters..most of our "rivers" in the Valley are dry river beds with water flowing somewhere underground. After huge rains they sometimes have water in them but theyre generally a big pile of dirt.
