My 2 month old HP computer came with a 60 day trial of Norton (which I normally hate). It expires in 3 days. Today, ACI kept locking up in Report and Track. It even locked up task manager. They were inoperable. I had to shut off the power to unlock the computer (too many times). A virus kept popping up and then it said norton removed it. This happened around 6 times, only in ACI.
Then it said that your free trial ends in 3 days. This seems a little too strange to be a coincidence. I did not know what to do.

An ACI tech. had me open Report in safe mode. What do you know, everything was fine. I delected norton and installed the free verison of AVG antivirus.

I will never use Norton again.

IMHO Norton is a virus. :rof:

NORTON REMOVAL TOOL - just "add/remove" will NOT solve your problem. You must remove...........ALLLLLLL.......Norton files then reboot your pc. Then RUN IT AGAIN!!!

Strongly recommend replacing it with VIPRE

http://www.vipreantivirus.com/ << full paid version

OR..........Free 30 Day Trial Version - can then upgrade to full paid version

http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Home-Home-Office/VIPRE/ DL FREE TRIAL <<<

COMPARISON VIPRE VERSUS ........AVG ( I REPLACED AVG (only about 50-60% effective) with VIPRE.

have had ZERO infections or operating problems since the replacement. MY OPINION.

AVG Free is fine unless you're putting yourself in high-virus situations such as, but not limited to, ****ography and software piracy.
