Why did that happen? With new and better data coming in, preliminary results were revised to a 4.3% unemployment rate in 2024, instead of 3.9%. In January, the new jobless rate hit 4.7%.

Really? Watch it be underestimated now. If fact, the numbers were pretty accurate several years ago.

This isn’t new. In fact I heard last year they had been overestimated significantly. But the MSM never publishes that. Not only that but most of the increase in jobs was due to government hiring. So we can expect that unemployment numbers will go up as we get off the government tit.
