Changing FHA and Loan Numbers

I had a request today to change the FHA number and loan number on an appraisal I did 9 months ago. Never have seen such a lapse in time for such a request. It seems a little suspect to me, but maybe its nothing. Thoughts?

Is it your client that’s making the request? If so I would do it. The lender has requirements to be in compliance with HUD, and it’s not my role to police them. I would not do it at the request of a different client.

I don't even know how long the appraisal is good for FHA.

FHA may need a new appraisal. I want to say VA is like 6 months in some circumstances but don't quote me.

Me personally, I would call HUD (FHA) and ask. FHA has skin in the ballgame.
