Key Accountabilities:

  • Complete internal residential real estate evaluations in compliance with approved guidelines. Requires ability to research data and derive property values based on provided exterior inspection of property.

  • Ability to communicate thru written communication using proper grammar.

  • Prepare reviews of both noncomplex and complex residential appraisals.

  • Requires ability to determine compliance with internal appraisal policy, USPAP, FIRREA regulations, secondary market requirements, VA/FHA guidelines, and any other applicable investor requirements.

  • Analyze the appropriateness of appraiser’s reasoning, logic, and conclusions.

  • Respectfully communicate with appraisers when necessary.

  • Ability to function and produce quality reports/reviews under high volume and deadline orientated workflow.

  • Assist loan officers and loan operations in various states of the appraisal process throughout FNNI – serve as resource for real estate valuation concerns/questions.

  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to the role.

  • Position may require on-site inspections.

  • Position may require overtime during periods of peak volume.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidate will need to have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 2-5+ years experience in the residential real estate industry. A SAMPLE APPRAISAL REPORT MAY BE BROUGHT TO THE INTERVIEW (WRITTEN BY APPLICANT).

  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae, FHA, and VA appraisal/property requirements is preferred.

  • Desired (but not required) Certified Residential Appraisal License

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and adhere to established deadlines.

  • Basic PC and office equipment skills including Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel.
