I'm curious how many Tennessee appraisers actually utilize this blog.. With all the things that divide us in this profession, I think it would be helpful to have a special place to talk about what is impacting Tennessee's appraisers specifically....

What adjustments we are concluding.... Which clients are not as shiny as we hoped.... Which continuing ed classes are coming up..... Help with trainees..... Scams.... Whatever....

Am I alone?

Dale,
I used to use the TN forum quite a bit. But, I kept getting plenty of "views" and people even download some of the information. I just got tired of people "viewing" but not posting. It is very discouraging. I get more of my info from LinkedIn appraisal groups associated with TN. I wish I had a good answer as to why so many TN appraisers "look", but don't share. I guess they do not care about the future of their business or profession:(:( Check out some of the LinkedIn groups. A good one is "Appraiser's Exchange."

Not all the views were necessarily TN appraisers. I view many states, for example.

I really like the archive feature and ongoing discussion layout of a blog, but you are the only response out here from a fellow Tennessean about this in several days... Your point is well made...

Thank you Brett... I don't recall running into you over the years, but I'm in West Tennessee which probably explains why.... :)

I think most of us/some of us have friends in the business whom we call/share information with. When i have a question i need to ask, or an idea i need to bounce off someone,i generally call or text one of my TN Appraiser friends. If the TN section was more active, o would probably post more often here.

Well not in TN -but will soon be living there. Perhaps we can open the discussion?

I post all the time. There are about 5 to 10 TN appraisers that post on the forum. I don't think there are a lot of TN appraisers that know about this forum. I tell appraisers about it all the time in CE classes. They gust look at me with that dumb look on their faces.

I think a lot of appraisers know about it, i just dont think they believe it offers any benefit to read. When you get past the B.S. its actually a very good resource. Have been reading since 1999.
