Compass vs Zillow

Compass says that Zillow is violating antitrust laws by forcing listings onto its platform.​
In April, Zillow said that it would permanently ban listings that aren't widely available.​
At issue is whether companies like Compass can post listings online that aren't also on Zillow.​

 
This has the potential to completely break up the MLS system as we know it. Bottom line is large firms like Compass don’t need the MLS, and more than likely the future will be what Compass envisions, not the current Zillow or MLS board marketing system.
 
Compass is not that big here. They can easily be irrelevant ten years from now.
Zillow is the behemoth and will prevail.

It’s about ending CCP, and Zillow will lose because they are that big. Hiding behind CCP is about to end.
