Concerning the fee gouging of AMC's and what to do about it

After long thought, I think maybe the most effective thing we can do is band together as appraisers in smaller units. Divided by State, City, County, or even smaller. Whatever you think the most effective would be in your situation.

Me, I am officially asking all Appraisers in the following counties to please pm me and let me know if you would like to have lunch sometime soon. The counties are: Davis, Salt Lake, Utah, Summit, Wasatch, Duchesne, and Uintah counties.

I know those of us in those locations that are on this forum have to know some other appraisers that are not. If we can invite them too, that would be great.

I am spearheading this. Any help is appreciated. No date or location or defined agenda planned yet. I am looking for interest right now.

We need to come up realistic and creative ideas to make this work.

HVCC may be too big and too late for us to fight, so I think we should focus on ways to attack the AMC's.

I'm brainstorming and typing up ideas and proposals. We all need to come up with ideas and get together for lunch to share ideas and pick a strategy.

Remember, if we can flock together - we the appraisers will hold the upper hand. Let's make this happen guys.

If you are serious about spearheading this, Google Utah appraisers, Google appraisers in the the various Utah cities you are interested in, etc. Be creative with your query phrases and you will be able to find that much more of your competition. If you are willing to take the time, you will be able to easily find/contact a slew of companies you can attempt to influence on your own.

I would be willing to go chat about this. I think if we all agree on a price for what we are going to do they cant mess with us. If we call charge 300 or 350 or 400 they can call around all they want then it will turn to our turn times.
