Working on an REO in Parkview at Lakeshore aka Concorde Estates built by DR Horton. There is an awful lot of stucco replacement going on in there. Does anyone have any insight on this? Is DR Horton making good on faulty construction or is this now the upto the homeowners to fix? Also, it appears to be primarily 2 stories (that was my observation) but several one stories have areas that are also in covered in 'wrap'. Tried to talk to a crew but my Spanish is poor and got no where. Searched google, but found nothing but that the CDD is going into foreclosure.....will speak with some agents, but never know what story they will tell.

Thanks

Have you spoken with the HOA?

I have contacted them but not heard back. Agents I have spoken with don't know details. I did speak with a DR Horton rep and he could not answer either. Regardless, I will make note in the report and the bottom line is what the sales say.....

GENERAL CONTRACTORS REQUIRED ME TO GIVE A 1 YEAR WARRANTY ON ALL PROVIDED WORK BY MY COMPANY. IS THIS RECENT CONSTRUCTION? LOOK AT THE SOME THAT HAVE NOT BEEN TOUCH UP…IS THERE BAD EXPANSION JOINTS SHOWING. A STUCCO COMPANY HAD TO REDO THEIR WORK ON SOME TOWN HOMES UP THIS WAY WITH BAD CRACKS SHOWING.

I spoke to a sales rep from DR Horton who indicated that they are covering the issues under warranty. He stated that the contractor incorrectly installed all the lathes/wire/plywood under the stucco allowing for water intrusion. He referred me to warranty who stated that they could not answer any questions and the I was to contact their attorney bc every situation is handled on a case by case basis. One REO that is under contract has already had the repairs initiated by DR, so that is good. At least they are doing the repairs
