Hello,

I'm wondering if you are busy or slow in the Chicagland area.

Also wondering if you've looked at remine vs. realist. For me, realist was great. Remine currently does not have plat maps for Cook and DuPage counties, they say they might get them in the future. Remine also does not have the same interface for searching tax records, which I dropped in below. I really used this a lot, so the upgrade is a bummer for me.

If you want a GOOD MLS, try moving to Arizona (Phoenix area). The ARMLS has search filters including GLA, BR/BA count, garage count, pool properties, garage count, site size, subdivisions (mapping of areas of comparison showing where the comparable properties are) and other search filters (which appear endless). Once the search filters are inputted, one can obtain other data such as average sales price, median sales price, average & median cost per square foot, average room count, average BA count, average BR count, average DOM and median DOM. Therefore, market evidence can be supplied for everything that is reported on page 1 of the appraisal report. The Monsoon Tax Records has direct links to the Assessor's page and Recorder of Deed's page as well as plat maps. I reside in Pinal County which has very good data reporting's. NOW.... in Maricopa County, they have plat maps and also assessor sketch pages with reported dimensions. The dimensions for the subject can be verified in the field for accuracy.

When can I move?

We are cartoonishly busy. I’m turning down work, and that’s with 4 other appraisers to keep busy.

I’m personally doing two a day (for about 2 months now), and the truth is I’m too old for it. It’s too difficult. The only thing keeping me going is the fear of a bad Winter.

Best,

Dave...

Busy, slow, busy, dead, sort of slow, busy...

Same here. Kind of annoying because I would like to know when it is a dead day and go have some fun. But I feel I should stick around and bid or reject these ridiculous things coming over the wire. :leeann:
