Anybody know how to create a zap file in Total? I see the ability to Deliver a Total report via email, but not a way to just create and save to a separate workfile folder.

I use Aurora, so I'm not sure about 2013. But, in Aurora when the report delivery window opens, there is also an option check box to save the report to a work file.

Yeah, it's not there in 2013. It does save as a pdf to the workfile, but not Xml or Zap. Must be able to do it somewhere, just can't find it and couldn't find it in the tutorial.

You can only do it the way you described.

When the email brings it up, OutlooK for example, just copy and past it to your desk top or click and drag to your desk top. Then save it from there.

I had to go out and pay for a Outlook account just to send a zap file from my tablet to my PC.

That works. Interesting that they don't have an option for it.

Mozilla Thunderbird...it's free and works the same.

Isn't it already a .zap file (I'm an Aurora user - all Aurora files are .zap files)?

This was just sent to me in a pm-

"Vermonter, you should be able to simply right-click on a report you want a ZAP of from the file cabinet and paste it to your desktop, workfile folder, removable disk, or whatever.
Hope this helps!

Tried it and it works great. Very nice!

Yes, but was trying to save it in a folder outside of Total and didn't see a way of creating it. Copy > paste...doesn't get easier than that.
