Just a follow up on the X4. It's a great machine. It's a bit smaller than the D5 but that's not a bad thing. The device is super fast and the LCD screen is crystal clear. The LCD is on all of the time so I'm not sure how the long term battery usage will be. It's still showing as fully charged after measuring quite a few houses. It's not a concern for me as I use rechargeable batteries with backups in my bag. I have never used all of the functions outside of +- so I can't comment on that. Pleased with the purchase and received it for a great price from appraiserlaser.com. Any questions, just ask.

Red glasses can help... Green dot helps more at least on my laser sighted pistols.

I have read this too. The problem is that their are no handheld measuring tools on the market. None that I'm aware of anyway.
