I've been an ACI user for 17 years and I recently took a serious look at all the software offerings. Between ACI and Bradford I would choose bradford. In the end I am planning on switching to NCV very soon. But that is primarily due to pricing and the way I have heard Bradford treated thier customers with UAD modules and the Comps Cruncher stuff. But putting price and company morals aside, (If you can do that) I think Clickforms is the best software currently available . NCV is just slightly behind in some very minor things. In other areas NCV offers additional things not found in clickforms. Both are very similar to use.
Having said that, each appraiser has their own preference, typically based on what they are used to I suppose. I've been using Bradford since 1996 and have been completely happy with Clickforms. Based on what I've read on this forum, I've never had the impetus to even try ACI. So, my answer is not based on experience using each product, which is not fair to ACI... but based on what I've read of other's experience with ACI vs. being a satisfied customer of Bradford since 1996.
I wouldn't want to have a client's business if it meant using the appraisal software that they required. They aren't the ones that have to type up the appraisal report, I am. I understand what they may want on their [receiving] end. I'm just not willing to have to suffer through typing up the appraisal report with a product that I'm not happy with, or have to pay for (another software package) in order to do business with them.
Maybe they would consider your using Clickforms, or maybe Bradford Tech could assist or offer a remedy.
