Has anyone had problems receiving incomplete faxes (10+ pages) from efax? We are having this problem with about 1 out of 4 every faxes. They show up typically as tif files. We talked to efax several times about it. They said that meant there was an interruption on the line/phone network/fax and the digital file was damaged. It is beyond their control. We like the concept of efax when it works, and we have heard how great it is. Are we the only ones having this problem?????

Jason,

We use faxwave.com (part of callwave.com). They're based in Santa Barbara, Calif. We've been using them for over three years and have never had a problem - ever. You might want to check them out.

I use MyFax and have recieved up to 68 pages (no kidding) of preliminary title report and purchase agreement at one time, no problem.

These kinds of interruptions are not uncommon with packet-switched transmission methods, including routed VoIP telephone systems. Some systems are better than others. Your local carrier/line could be a factor too. It's just a matter of finding a service that works best in your area.

Problem with multiple senders?

Personally I use Maxemail and the only time a fax is incomplete is when the sender had a problem on their end. That is most likely what efax is trying to convey with there response. If a large number of different senders are having the problem, its likely the problem is in the efax reception equipment.
