House I'm doing lists 2 fireplace, but the one in the main bedroom is an electric one that is on the backside of the gas fp in the living room. You can slide it out. Should it be counted as having two fireplaces? Pic enclosed.

I'd seen double sided fireplace that is each adjacent room can see the fireplace.
Do you call it 2 fireplaces, 1.5 fireplaces, or just 1 fireplace.

Can't see both here.
A decorative fireplace is personal property.
I have come across double sided fireplaces which are common in some tract homes. I think I might have called them 2 fireplaces. Am I wrong?
Guess it doesn't matter, cuz reviewers don't care.

Was it a real fireplace before someone slide in an electric one? If so, then it's still a real fireplace with an electric insert. If not, then it was never a real fireplace.. it's a decorative fireplace... a space heater, sorta.

I am huge fireplace fan. I like the ambiance. I like the heat. Fireplaces have come a long way since I was a young boy. Fire is pretty as long as you don't touch it. Makes good marshmallows and hot dogs on a stick.

A certain element of romance involved. Reminds me of campfire stories.

We are down to 25 degrees this morning. I had electric fireplace but have natural gas hookup. Wife just bought natural gas ventless fireplace insert.

Not inserted yet. I was happy with the electric insert. Just no heat. It was the ambiance.

On the other hand, many people heat most of their house from a fireplace or stove. It is their primary source of heat. I think many are way more fuel efficient on natural gas than they used to be. Probably on electric too.

It's the romance and ambiance.

My brother in law has a huge one wood fired. It will heat his whole house. He has a big house.

Wood fired has the most ambiance and romance.
