My Internet provider is offering eTrust EZ Antivirus Armor for free.

Is anyone using this software?

I've been using eTrust for several years. I haven't had any viruses, so I guess it works.

Do you have the package that also includes the firewall, anti spyware, and anti Spam?

Free sounds like a good deal, but I wanted to see if it worked well. I guess they are just trying to compete with AOL.

Thank you!

I just deleted it. I thought it was too complicated and gives too many popups. I still got pests all the time.

Will,

My Norton AntiVirus subscription expired a few days ago, and I decided to give EZ AntiVirus a try. It installed easily and does not seem to slow down the machine much. The software got a pretty good review by Cnet at...

...and the respected Virus Bulleting site at...

...found that it was good at stopping viruses with WinXP.

So, thus far, I'm happy with it, and you certainly can't beat the price (free).

I did not install the spyware or firewall software and can't personally comment on either of these. I did see a review of the spyware software, and the free version of AdAware was better at stopping spyware.

I'm using Adware Pro right now and it's cleaning out all the spyware EZ Trust didn't stop. It's free too.

The best antivirus program I have found is AVG. Its does its job quietly and leaves me alone. I have it set up to check for updates and scan my computer every night while I'm asleep. It doesn't choke your computer like Nortons or some of the ISP sponsored junk.

The free version is here: http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php

I've been using AdAware, AVG, and ZoneAlarm for several years. Like them all, and love the price.

I just cleaned up with AdAware, then installed and ran SpyBot. Found several more that had been missed. Good tip, Bill, thanks.
