Fannie is at it again, raising the maximum LTVs eligible for an appraisal waiver to 97% in some instances.

We need Trump to take them off the government teet and make them accountable. I bet they would like our opinions then.

Fannie Waiver Requirement Changes

Also allowing loan restructuring at 115% LTV with a max 1% rate cap increase, no appraiser, no mortgage person required. Seriously delinquent loan? No problem.

Because the lending industry didn't learn its lesson the last time people could get 125% mortgages.
They learned that they made a lot of money, got bailed out, and the fact that markets crashed and people paid the price was collateral damage - otherwise known as unrestrained capitalism.

Yes, but they are making the new 1004 easier, for us, to fill out. Thank goodness we have somebody on our side. I'm the new 1004 and i'm here to help you.

In order to demonstrate the centrality of the appraiser's role in the GSEs' future plans, Radke points to the "millions and millions of dollars" he says have been spent designing the new Uniform Appraisal Dataset that is expected to be rolled out in 2026 and 2027. The new UAD will streamline the rules, guidelines, and terminology used in appraisals, eliminating the delays in current data management (so the argument goes).

"Eliminating the delays in current data management" means what. Gotta get done faster, you ain't got long for your bones to bleach white.

Funny, nowhere in fannie is the role the AMC plays in delays and money stealing.

You obviously are confusing capitalism with big government.

One look at the new form will tell you NOTHING is going to move faster, having to highlight every detail of every room. This is a data grab and that's it. Anything the government touches goes to ****. This is no different.
