FHA Handbook 4150.2

Can anyone tell me how I can get a copy of the FHA Handbook 4150.2. I've looked everywhere, and either I'm blind...which might be, or its only in digital (.pdf) format.

Also do you need a minimum of 5 years experience to be accepted by FHA, or is 2-3 enough?

In order to be approved to do FHA appraisals you need to read the 4150.2 and take a test. (You must have a license-no minumum years needed). Check the like in this forum for HUD and you can either print out the manual or there is a number to call and they will send you one (I would call-kind of lengthy). This manual should answer most, if not all questions you come across in the everyday appraisal world. HUD's website (www.HUD.gov) tells you how to get FHA approved. mac,........You are so close......you should be able to smell that handbook from your desk there.

Go to the sticky-note postings at top of this category, third one down, says ...."FHA Handbook...". Open that thread-link, and scroll down. You will see a few different links for your access. One to several HUD handbooks which will include the 4150.2. Further down a PDF of this Holy Grail of a document.

Save it to your Favorites list, and print it out if that be your fancy. Happy reading !

Why print it out when you can read it on-line at will.

When I took the FHA exam they required a minimum of two years experience to get placed on the registery. It might have changed but I don't think so. Personally, I think you should have about 10 years of experience before attempting to tackle the 4105 since it is written in governmentese :rainfro:
