Caveat: I am learning to use the ACI File Redirect function that should solve the problem; however peer advice also will be appreciated.

"Somehow or the other," I have multiple sub-folders on my desktop all entitled "Appraisal Reports" under source folders entitled "Appraisal Master Folder," which I think I created for some unknown reason. Some of the Appraisal Report folders have the same Files [.ACI, pdf, etc.] but others only are similar but not identical.

Trying to open an existing file requires several attempts until I find the "Appraisal Report" folder where that specific report is located. ACI tech support says there is no "correct" folder where reports should live, and that I simply need to marry contents of all existing folders into one--which makes sense unless you guys know a better way.

Possibly a coincidence, but de-licensing ACI and re-licensing it to a new laptop last week when the original device failed seems not to have worked. A few times recently ACI tech support has revised the Product Registration code numbers that "aren't sticking in the new laptop, althogh I'm unable to open the download requests they send for access to my computer; and I'm headed back now to the grimy shop where I purchased the new laptop, where old files were moved to the new device. [Sure teaching me how little I know about computers.] But thanks everybody.
