Allstate is purchased by class. Gotta love private equity.

Soon we will have 1 AMC LOL.

How's that C&R fee working out?

Class Valuation has acquired at least 14 other appraisal management companies (AMCs) and real estate valuation firms, aggressively expanding its family of brands and regional footprints over recent years. [1, 2, 3]
Because it operates as a technology-enabled corporate umbrella heavily backed by private equity firm Gridiron Capital, many of these acquisitions have been fully integrated into Class Valuation's corporate infrastructure, while others continue to operate as specialized sister brands, divisions, or DBAs. [1, 2, 3]

Known Acquisitions & Sister Companies
The following list details the core appraisal management firms and valuation companies that Class Valuation has absorbed or operates alongside:
  • Allstate Appraisal: A long-running Chicago-based valuation and review firm acquired in August 2026 to scale commercial and residential capabilities.
  • Lauritano Appraisal Services (LAS): A New York-based residential valuation firm specializing in luxury properties, acquired in April 2026.
  • Appraisal Nation: A major Cary, North Carolina-based AMC specializing in private lending markets, acquired in April 2025.
  • Valuation Connect: An AMC acquired from Mortgage Connect LP in November 2023 to expand its top-tier lender presence.
  • PropertyVal: A Maine-based regional AMC acquired in December 2022.
  • AppraisalTek (ATek): An Arizona-based AMC with national coverage, acquired in August 2022.
  • Metro-West Appraisal Co.: One of the nation's largest independent residential appraisal firms with a large staff-appraiser footprint, acquired in January 2022.
  • Valuation Link: An AMC partner company acquired alongside Metro-West in January 2022.
  • Incenter Appraisal Management: A major national appraisal firm added to the Class Valuation family of companies.
  • Synergy Appraisal Services: A Midwest and Western market-focused AMC acquired in July 2021.
  • SouthEastern Evaluation: A regional valuation firm acquired in June 2021.
  • Pendo Management: A Kansas City-based national AMC acquired in 2021.
  • Janus Valuation and Compliance: A Texas-based AMC acquired in 2019.
  • Landmark Network: A reverse mortgage-focused AMC acquired in 2018 (which prompted the company's shift in name from Class Appraisal to Class Valuation

Lots of Private Equity Firms buying the AMCs. Cotality formerly Corelogic went Private back in 2021 now has over 5,000 employees and services lenders, title companies, counties etc. Allstate's expanding to be one of the biggest.

My guess is the AMCs will own the final last larger software providers. By the end of 2027 everything will start to be going pay per use and cloud based.

Opinion.....only

Signs of the time? Private equity usually scoops in during the down market. Im seeing a uptick in REO orders...mortgage applications are down for the past several weeks.....mortgage volume is at record lows....last several appraisals I checked the declining box...inventory is increasing..dom is increasing....rates are increasing....peeps at the fannie getting canned.

Shet is about to hit the fan.

I do believe they also bought Triserve. Which was one of my better clients up until they got bought. Steady stream of work from six different federal credit unions that paid well.

Grave Dancer..lol

Consolidation means less competition.

There are pros and cons to private equity. It will be interesting how this one plays out. They could be going for a pump and dump.
