Finding a supervisory appraiser

Hello, I'm a new trainee appraiser and am looking to find a local supervisory appraiser. So far I found someone who is only willing to take me to home inspections and lets me watch their report drafting and comps analysis thru screen-sharing. Any advice or leads on finding someone locally? I live in the Phoenix area and would appreciate any advice or recommendations.

See if Maricopa County has any openings for entry level appraisers in the Assessor's Office. It is a HUGE jurisdiction. Sign up for emails when they have an opening. If you get an interview, bring copies of all your certificates. They will train you and pay for everything. You will have benefits and vacation days.

Best advice I ever got was from John S He told me hiring was based on civil service test score. So I took the appraiser test and got a 90. Then a few months later got a 97. Then a 100. And got a job.

She said take her out on "home inspections" and screen sharing so she can watch an appraiser's "comp analysis". I don't know about you guys, but that process takes place in my brain, which doesn't have a "screen". Are they not teaching that kind of thing in trainee classes anymore? I doubt there is commercial potential there.
