Having trouble finding solid appraisal pre-licence classes in Michigan. Recently, I have signed up for 3 classes that were all cancelled due to lack of attendence.

Can anyone offer any assistance with a good school here in Michigan or an on-line school that does pre-license classes?

Thanks

David

Recently, I have signed up for 3 classes that were all cancelled due to lack of attendence.

Do you have a supervisor ready, willing and able to take you on? If not, please don't be surprised or angry when you are unable to find one AFTER you pay for your classes.

There are some good reasons that classes are being canceled.

It is the ENFORCEMENTstupid!

??????

I am very aware of the changes going on in my state thank you.
I do not understand your response but I don't think it matters anyway. I have not had a problem scheduling classes up to this point.

The Appraisal Institute has two courses coming up at the beginning of next year. Knowing this instructor, I recommend these courses!

By the way, that is simply Bob's tag line and doesn't have to do with your question. Bob does raise a good point about having a supervisor lined up ahead of time. Too many people chasing too little work, and it is very hard to break in. If you take some quality courses (see above) though, you might be in much better stead than someone coming in with courses from M... or A.... or other area "schools".

Good luck.

David,

My "tag line" or signature at the end of every post is auomatic and had NOTHING to do with you at all. Sorry if you thought it was some message for you.

I TEACH classes (including USPAP) and I know there are classes being canceled all over the place due to lack of the "minumum required # of students". I also get calls and emails almost EVERY day from trainees ( and licened and certified) looking for positions or more work. Have a certified fellow right now I am trying to help find a spot now ....he simply does not have enough business to survive and is looking for a company to join.

It is BRUTAL out there. Hope you find what you need and a supervisor as well.

Bob - my apologies. I was completely unaware of that. No harm done. Thanks for your input.
