I have re-located to Florida and was wondering what MLS do you guys use. I am in Broward County. Where do I sign up for MLS access?

You have to join the board of Realtors (join as an appraiser ) and pay them for access.

to the best of my knowledge, no difference- as an appraiser /non Realtor you cant' list properties to sell/offering a commission (though I think you can list a property you own personally) but as far as using it for information and access etc we have same MLS as agents use

You join the local board, join the local MLS which is part of the regional MLS, which runs from Fort Myers up to Daytona. Wife does not pay full broker dues but an associated business membership.

There is a category called a "Thompson Broker" It gives you access to data, right to lockbox access and that's about it. No State or National dues, none of the usual requirements except when they change MLS providers or lock box providers they probably will require you to set through "training". They don't advertise the category but have to provide services in that category. I have to pay quarterly local dues and lockbox annual fee. Some law suit settled that years ago. Don't know if it was just Florida / National. That is the sum of my knowledge on the subject.

So you do not have to pay NAR dues to join your MLS?

they bill me twice a year- I bet one of the bills is NAR- to be honest I don't pay attention, I just pay the dues- been a member 15 years.

I was asking because with the change to Matrix I'm not seeing attachments anymore although they are referenced in the comments. Years ago when in CA my board used to limit information non-Realtor members could see as well. Thanks for the reply.

I 've gotten it to work in the past but have forgotten how- call your board for help or ask a friendly RE agent for help how to view attachments. I liked the "old" MLS system better...this one is geared for mobile computing and smart phones and thus is
more cumbersome to use for the kind of work we do.
