Eyecom RP9000 Microfiche Reader

This machine currently only works as a reader. The printing function does not work and may not be fixable. Usable as a microfiche reader only and not as a microfiche printer. We are downsizing and need to get rid of this machine if anyone is interested & can come by & pick it up.

I threw mine over a cliff in 2003 !!!

I have $$$ invested in microfiche copies of well logs -donate to geo library.

No offense, but I hate those machines. We had two viewer-printers and one viewer-only machine in the first fee shop I worked in and there were times when we couldn't get either printer to function properly.

DataQuick started selling public record and plat map data on CD-ROM in this region the month that I went out on my own so between that and the new HP Laserjets, I never did have to own a fiche machine or a photocopier.

One good thing about using microfiche is that in looking at the data you could see everything that was happening rather than being limited to the results of whatever search parameters you were inputting into a database query. I have kept to this day the habit of looking at everything before zeroing in on comparables; and that habit has served me very well over the years.

I'm so old I've never seen a microfiche viewer with a printer.... I do have a micro fiche viewer though - just in case I ever need it ;)

Tech museum,
or e waste recycle day.
Who has microfiche anymore?
Dispose of properly.

If anyone is interested I can throw in a free Brother Multi Function machine,
fax, copy, print, phone answer machine+.
Plus an extra roll of high tech printer film, woo hoo!

Donate to a library I know they still use them.
