Hi,

I was wondering if interior photos of attached garages are required for FHA appraisals. Thanks!

No but some lenders do want them so I include or at least take a few garage photos , Its free and I found you can never have to many photos in your work file .
I agree. Even if you don't include them in the report, extra photos can help your memory and, sometimes, can save you from making another trip to the subject.

Agreed here as well. I Include them automatically so I don’t forget for a specific lender, or if some picky underwriter gets a wild hair and wants it I don’t have to bother with another trip.

do every appraisal like it's an FHA with their requirements. makes a better appraisal. if FHA wants the attic, crawl space, they certainly want an interior or exterior of anything you mention on the report.
also puts you above the average appraiser showing that you gave your appraisal more thought than the average dope.

Looking at my interior garage, I see the floor painted. I forgot to ask if epoxy paint.
Are all painted floor in garage epoxy or should I just say painted floor?

Most of the time I subscribe to that. I must admit, though, it is not for your reason (which is good!). It is because I have had the client switch t to FHA and I had to go back and take pics of the attic and sides.

I have pictures of every room, interiors of all garages and sheds in every 1004 I've ever done, FHA or not. I have to inspect them anyway, pushing a button and typing a label in the report takes about 5 extra seconds.
