Get together at Disney World, June 5

In case ya haven't heard.....A La Mode is having a convention at Disney World in the Contemporary Hotel June 5-7. Some of us are getting together the evening of Monday June 5. If you are attending the convention or will be anywhere near the "Mouse House" please join us.

There are a couple threads posted about this, in the A La Mode forum and the "secret" Florida section.

Contemporary Hotel; Sand Bar - 6:00pm, June 5 (it's by the pool and outdoors)

In case of rain, they suggested the Outer Rim Lounge, on the 4th Floor.

It's our understanding that the party may be "on" Dave Bigggers. (or maybe not) :new_all_coholic:

You have to pay? I don't...one of the benies of a platinum account.

BTW...anyone coming to the Contemporary either as a convention participant or just to party Monday night...DO NOT PAY FOR PARK PARKING! Tell the attendant, at the toll booth, you are going to the Contemporary and they will wave you through.

hopefully you got a nice long kiss..............at $599 for your platinum and my $349 for aluminum..............and the price of the seminar at $199......................

Here's the official schedule...

Magic Kingdom: Sat 6/3 9 Am - 10 Pm
Sun -Fri 9 Am - 11 Pm

Epcot: Every day 9 Am - 9 Pm

Animal Kingdom: Everyday 9 Am - 8 Pm (The animals have to be in their enclosures before the fireworks start around the other parks)

MGM: Sat 6/3 9 Am - 9 Pm
Sun- Fri 9 Am -10 Pm

All closing schedules are subject to change due to weather.

Magic Kingdom fire works are visible from the Contemporary hotel.

I'll be staying from Sunday evening, but not on Disney property. I found a place for $42.00 a night just outside the main gate. My brother (the firefighter) is on duty Sunday so I can get in and wander around the parks for free. Of course Downtown Disney is kewl after dark, too. :new_multi:
