I downloaded ghostscript and can't get it to pdf my appraisals. Ive tried both bradford and ACI and they start writing into adobe reader, then i get an error message:

"There was an error opening this document. The file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect."

Then I press ok and another message pops up:

"Acrobat could not open 'reda03860' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file may be corrupted"

Then I press ok and get another message:

"There was an error opening this document. The file does not exist."

Anyone have any Ideas what is wrong?

David,

I don't know much about Ghostscript but it seems that you want a cheap alternative to buying the full Adobe package...I can't blame you as it's expensive. I lost my original Adode 4 CD and when I bought a new laptop, I needed to install Adobe on it. So I bid $90 and got Adobe 5 off ebay. You may want to try that route rather than mess with an Adobe look-a-like.

Here's a temporary backdoor solution for you...since you have Bradford. Download the new version of Clickforms and install it on your computer. Complete your appraisal in Toolbox and convert it to the new version of Clickforms. The new version of Clickforms has a, free built-in PDF creator so you're good to go immediately.

DAVID,

FINEPRINT.COM has a PDF factory program.

Have not used it but their fineprint program is VERY good.

They might give you a demo to see if it will work.

Good Luck-ed
