Looking to switch to Android Auto for planning trips to my comps but don't see how to do it on your car's nav screen. I see how in the phone app though just wondering if anyone uses it for shooting comps. I'm using Garmin nav's trip planner now and works good but it's dumb sometimes and don't want to buy a new unit.

tomtom has an android map program that cost about $25 a year, a little more with speed camera locations. i have stopped using my reg tomtom. it's a better screen that google's.

I use my Google Calendar to navigate to the subject and any distant comps via Android Auto. If the comps are with-in a few blocks, then I just print out a local area map from my appraisal software with the comps annotated.

Does your car have Android Auto?

If it is older than 2019, then you may need to get a new aftermarket infotainment unit for your car.

Yea I have a display for Google maps on my car's screen through Android Auto. Specifically, I want to be able to input multiple addresses at once then my destination (like my Garmin GPS) then hit another button to arrange them in the most efficient route but can't figure our if this is possible on screen in my car with Google maps.

I enter all of my destinations on my Google Calendar with my PC, usually by cutting and pasting addresses from the MLS. I plug my phone into the car, open Calendar on the car's screen and select which entry that I want to go to. If I have the subject's contact info listed, then I can also call the home owner's number through the car.

I finally figured it out and it works beautifully. Many people may do this I've just not been able to figure out how online. So when you're done with your inspection input your next subject in Google maps on your head unit (through Android Auto) then when the destination pops up enter in (voice works best for me) you next comp from the home you just inspected by clicking the search icon (magnifying glass) and inputting your next comp in any order. Keep doing that until you're done and maps will put your comps in as stops along the way to your destination which is your next inspection. So much better than Garmin nav's trip planner.

I use a separate Garmin Plug in and not my phone or trucks GPS. It will cost you say $100 bucks but you can also take it from vehicle to vehicle, but I found it does a much better job mapping destinations on multiple destinations than a phones.

I added a video in case you're old like me and took a while to figure it out
